The International Theater of Italy, born from the vision of Nicolas Porcelli, is based in Rome, it’s an English-language theater created for the international community and theater enthusiasts across Italy. The association serves as a cultural bridge and an artistic beacon, illuminating the Italian scene with voices and stories from across the globe.

Our Mission: Three Pillars

Our association is founded on three key objectives that guide every artistic and organizational choice we make:

1. Cultural Resonance for Expats Italy is our home, but English is the universal language of our stories and our community. Our primary goal is to produce plays performed entirely in English, providing the International audience with an authentic and familiar cultural touchstone. From classics to contemporary and newly written dramas, comedies and musicals,  we create a space where the international community can feel “at home” through the power of the Performing Arts.

2. Artistic Excellence and Exchange We strive for excellence. Our productions are brought to life by a highly professional cast and creative teams of diverse nationalities, bringing a melting pot of global artistic styles and perspectives to Italian stage. We produce workshops, staged readings, and masterclasses that encourage the exchange of techniques and the fusion of local Italian talent with international expertise.

3. An International  Artistic Hub We aim to be the central nerve for international cultural interaction. Theater is our medium, but community is our heart. We offer a space where artists, writers, directors, and enthusiasts from all backgrounds can meet, collaborate, and build lasting relationships and compelling work, In doing so, we also act as a cultural embassy, bringing world-class English-language productions to Milan, Rome, and other italian Cities, while enriching the Italian artistic landscape.
